President of the German Israeli Lawyer’s Association; Former Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy
Brigitte Zypries was member of the German parliament for the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) from 2005 to 2017. From January 2017 until March 2018 she was Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy. From October 2002 to September 2009, Brigitte Zypries was Federal Minister of Justice. Prior to that, she acted as Parliamentary State Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy and was responsible for information technology (IT) and foreign trade. She was also the coordinator of the Federal Government for Aerospace.
Brigitte Zypries promotes a strong startup ecosystem and is committed to German-Israeli economic relations – especially in the field of Startups. She already took part in the Kick-Off Event of the GISEP in Berlin and in October 2017, she joined the German Tel Aviv Week of the German Startups Association to meet Israeli Startups and VCs. She also is Patron of the Female Entrepreneurship Network.
Brigitte Zypries is the President of the German Israeli Lawyer’s Association.
